Our Program

Arts and cultural experiences contribute to a deeper understanding of ourselves and others, helping to foster connection and strengthen communities.

We believe that in order for arts and culture to flourish; artists and culture bearers must have the resources needed to exercise their craft and creativity, organizations must have the capacity and infrastructure to present, support, and deliver experiences to a broad range of diverse audiences, and the public must value and commit to the preservation of artistic and cultural experiences.

Our Focus Areas

Supporting artists and culture bearers

Bolstering capacity and infrastructure

Strengthening public commitment and sentiment

Our focus areas center the human experience of art.

Supporting artists and culture bearers. We make grants to provide services, working spaces, performance venues, and professional development opportunities to creators, particularly those whose voices and perspectives have been underrepresented.

Bolstering capacity and infrastructure. We help organizations improve their long-term operating capacity and financial stability through cross-organization partnerships, cohort-based learning, community-based networks, and other new models.

Strengthening public commitment and sentiment. We fund research and advocacy efforts to equip the creative sector with messages and tools to help them expand their audiences, increase public funding, and move arts and culture higher on the policy agenda.
